Sihanoukville Full-Day Discovery Tour
Begin your day with a warm welcome at the Sihanoukville Port Main Gate. (Note: guests are required to walk approximately 3 kilometers from the ship to the gate.) Upon arrival, meet your friendly local tour guide who will accompany you throughout the day.
Your first stop is Tomnub Rolork, a vibrant coastal village where you’ll witness the daily routines of local fishermen. This is a great opportunity to observe how the community sustains its livelihood through traditional fishing practices. You’ll see fish being sorted and packed, shrimp being dried, and other morning activities in full swing, offering an authentic glimpse into local life.
The tour continues with a visit to the Wat Kraom Pagoda, a beautifully maintained spiritual site located at the base of Sihanoukville Mountain. The pagoda grounds feature striking Khmer-style statues of the Buddha in various postures, each symbolizing moments in his life story. The peaceful setting and cultural significance make this a thoughtful and meaningful visit.
Next, take a scenic drive to the natural wonder of Kbal Chhay Waterfall. These cascading falls range from 3 to 5 meters in height and originate from various mountain sources. While the falls are most impressive during the rainy season (July to October), the surrounding lush greenery and tranquil setting make it a popular destination year-round. The area is a favorite picnic spot for locals, with plenty of food and refreshment stalls nearby for a quick snack or drink.
After lunch, the tour continues with a drive through Sihanoukville town, passing the Independence Resort and nearby forest where you might catch a glimpse of the playful local monkeys. You’ll also see the Independence Monument, a symbolic structure located in a small park, next to a shrine used for religious events and gatherings.
We then make a stop at Phsar Leu Market, the city’s main local market. Here you can browse or shop for a variety of goods — from fresh produce and local snacks to clothes, electronics, and souvenirs. It’s a lively, colorful experience that reflects everyday Cambodian life.
A quick photo stop will follow at the iconic Golden Lion Monument, a well-known symbol of the city. Located in the heart of a busy roundabout, this statue has become a popular spot for locals to hang out in the evenings and is surrounded by restaurants, bars, and karaoke venues.
The final stop of the day is at Ochheuteal Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Sihanoukville. Enjoy a stroll along the shore or simply relax and take in the seaside atmosphere before heading back.
You’ll be returned to the ship before 5:00 PM, in time for boarding and departure.
