Itinerary
After Breakfast at your hotel, your private English Speaking guide and TUK TUK will be waiting at your hotel lobby.
We will start driving to Angkor Check point to purchase your Angkor Pass. From here we will drive to Ta Prohm Temple. Along the way, you may have a chance to stop by at Prasat Kravan, the only brick temple in Angkor Compex. After Ta Phrom temple, we continue to Ta Nei temple, a late 12th Century stone temple located in Angkor, Cambodia. Built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII, it is located near the northwest corner of the East Baray, a large holy reservoir.
We then continue to Sara Srang Lake where we can have a local drink before continuing to Takeo Temple, Takeo is a pyramid of five levels reaching a total height of 40m - the first two forms the base of two enclosing courtyards, one surrounded by a simple wall and the other by a gallery, while the last three, through proportional reduction are a massive artificial plinth for the quincunx of sanctuaries.
Finally, we enter Angkor Thom at Victory gate and cycle to Eastern gate. Explore Angkor Thom by bike. Finish with bikes at Bayon Temple. Angkor Thom, this Royal city was first built under the reign of Udayadityavarman II in the 11th Century. It was destroyed when the Chams from Vietnam rose up against the Khmer and invaded, sacking the city, and was subsequently renovated by King Jayavarman V II at the end of the 12th Century. Its vast walls, some 6m wide, 8m high and 13km in length contain many monuments. The Bayon, this temple mountain, built by Jayavarman VII is situated in the center of the city of Angkor Thom. It is a three tiered pyramid with its entrance facing east. The central shrine is surrounded by 54 towers all crowned by gigantic faces representing Avalokite-shvara but with the features of Jayavarman VII.
You will then be transferred to local restaurant for Khmer cuisine. After late lunch, we will then return to Siem Reap, stopping at land mine museum and stroll around French quarter. Stop at FCC restaurant facing Siem Reap River for a fresh up drink. A walk through French quarter to Old market and explore local market before heading back to your hotel.
