After around 3 to 4 hours you'll reach the bird sanctuary in the Preak Toal area of the Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve. The sanctuary has been hailed as "the single most important breeding ground in Southeast Asia for globally threatened large waterbirds." The santuary is at the northwest tip of the Tonle Sap Lake and over 120 species of water and forest birds have been recorded, among which are 15 endangered species such as the greater adjutant and the masked finfoot. The best time of year for observing the magnificent birds is the dry season (November to February in particular), when flocks of migratory birds congregate at Prek Toal.
When you arrive in Siem Reap in the late afternoon you'll be transferred to your hotel. NOTE: Lunch box is included along with drinking water.
