Gibbon on Wheels -Angkor Wat
Sunrise at Angkor Wat: We’ll pick you up at your hotel and you will meet the rest of the group at Angkor Wat temple, where your guide will pick out the perfect position to watch the dawn break. If the weather gods are with you the sun will rise up behind Angkor Wat and provide the most stunning of silhouettes.
Angkor Wat Walking Tour & Breakfast: As the other early risers head back to their hotel, we have the Park to ourselves in the best light of the day. Take a guided tour of Angkor Wat, then a short ride to breakfast just outside the temple area in a peaceful setting.
Angkor Historical Park: After breakfast, ride the back trails through ruins and forest and stopping at both iconic and less known temples. Our stops include the Bayon and Ta Prom, both considered essential temples to visit. As the day warms up, we ride the shady forest paths out to a hidden, less visited temple and then onto a great Khmer lunch by the Royal Baths. Then after some digestion time, it's off to zipline!
After a short safety briefing from the Sky Rangers, before you know it you are up in the treetops, flying between towering teak trees on low impact ziplines with views overlooking Angkor Park and down into the lush forests below. This activity lasts around two hours. We return to town around 5pm where you will be taken directly to your hotel, so by the time we finish the shadows will be lengthening and it might be that time of the day to relax by the pool with a drink.
